Ragwort pulling season

We spent a good part of this afternoon clearing the field near Rockford of ragwort.

Ragwort contains toxic compounds called pyrrolizidine alkaloids. These can cause liver damage in livestock such as horses, cattle, and sheep if ingested.

The kids loved to get involved as well.
